Behind the Lens
My Name is Will Thurston, and I am a 17-year-old landscape and wildlife photographer based in Dubai. I started photography in mid 2020 during Covid-19 and have fallen in love with it ever since. I've always been fascinated by nature and all the animals which inhabit it. I also absolutely love drones and the different perspectives they give on the world.
The first few months of photography were hard, because I didn't know much about how to use a camera or drone, nor did i know how to start. But after hours of practise and research i slowly started seeing improvement in my photography. I took my drone to Mallorca and flew it there for the first time and got some beautiful images of the blue waters, and vivid Lanscape (This photo behind was actually from Mallorca). I love editing photos as I have a picture in my head of what i want the final photo to look like and manipulate the photo in such a way. Some people might say i over-edit my photos, but that's just how i saw the moment.
I enjoy sharing my passion to the world and inspiring others to pursue photography.
